As of May 2025, Homebound Health Services is currently adequately staffed in all areas of services that our agency provides. This includes nursing, PT, OT, ST, home health aides, and medical social services. Our ratio of patient to license professional for case management is 17:1.

All precautions are being implemented to protect patients and staff.

Homebound Health Service, Inc. is a home health agency located in the Back Mountain area, licensed by the state of PA to provide skilled nursing, physical, occupational and speech therapy, nurses aides, and medical social worker services to residents of Luzerne County and surrounding areas.  We tailor these services based on the needs of our patients and under the direction of their physicians.  Services are provided without regard to race, sex, age, religion, handicap or national origin.

Services

How Do I Receive Service?

Services are usually ordered by the physician.  You, however, may request your physician to refer HOMEBOUND HEALTH SERVICES, INC. upon discharge from the hospital, upon relapse of an illness or following an office visit if further monitoring is required.  Or simply call our office for further information at 570-696-4041.  Our RN Supervisor will make the necessary arrangements with your doctor.  After receiving a referral, a member of our professional staff will be at your home withing 24 hours.

HOMEBOUND HEALTH SERVICES, INC. bills Medicare, VA or private health insurance companies for services rendered.

Bonnie is the founder and owner of Homebound Health Services, Inc.  She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from College Misericordia in the mid 80's.  She specialized in Labor & Delivery, then Post Surgical Nursing while living in Sarasota, FL for several years.  After moving back to PA in the late 80's, she worked for a l

Bonnie is the founder and owner of Homebound Health Services, Inc.  She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from College Misericordia in the mid 80's.  She specialized in Labor & Delivery, then Post Surgical Nursing while living in Sarasota, FL for several years.  After moving back to PA in the late 80's, she worked for a large home health agency but after about a year there she decided to open her own business, with more focus on the quality of care rather than the quantity of visits.

Kendle received her associates degree in nursing from LCCC and attended Wilkes University where she studied English and secondary education. Kendle is certified in Telemetry monitoring and interpretation  and is NIHSS Stroke certified. In the early part of here career, she was employed as a telemetry nurse at Moses Taylor hospital. Later,

Later, Kendle was working as a Health  Services Administrator and Regional Manager overseeing the health care delivery system for a local correctional facility. Kendle is new to home health but has certainly answered a true calling.

Ann Schooley, R.N.

Ann received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from College Misericordia.  She has worked as a nurse for Hospital for Mercy and later for Geisinger South, as well as a physician's office.   For the last 12 years, Ann has been enjoying working as a home health nurse.
